Painting Trends for 2023

Every year new colors are “in” while old colors go “out”. If you want to keep a stylish home, you have to stay up on the trends and be ready with a paintbrush as the occasion calls for it.

What are the new painting trends for 2023? Let’s find out!

Forest Green

Earthy tones are so “in” and forest green is a big favorite. Use for accent walls, trim, or even kitchen cabinets. The color is calming and comforting at the same time.

Rust

This is another earthy tone that seems to be stepping in for blush this year. Blush was big in 2022, but rust is a little more down-to-earth and a little less feminine which is nice for rooms that the whole family uses.

Greige

Building on its popularity in 2022, greige (that pleasant blend of gray and beige) is still going strong. As a neutral, complementary color, greige can be used just about anywhere.

Dark Blue

Need to add a little drama to your life? Dark blue bathroom cabinets or a dark blue accent wall in the dining room is a great way to do it.

Black

If you want to get really chic and timeless, black is a great way to go. Too much black can be overwhelming but high-gloss black paint as an accent is amazing. Consider black bathroom cabinets or black doors. Just make sure the paint is as glossy as it gets for that black glass look.

Aubergine

You might know it best as eggplant, but whatever you call it, it’s gorgeous. This rich purple shade is perfect as an accent color in a foyer or on a vanity. It’s not a color that might immediately come to mind, but its stunning impact will have you thinking twice about it.
